The first step in building a site is to develop a site plan which defines:
- Goals for site: who you want to reach and what you want them to do/get from the site
- Different pages of site and content for each page
- Graphic design layout (sample sites that show what you like help)
- Picture elements

Make the site plan on a Word document.

The next step is to prepare separate Word documents for the content of each page of the site.

Building Your Website

Once the site plan is complete you have a clear map to guide you to easy completion of your Web project.

How you go about building the site will depend on the Web design technologies you have decided to use.

For a standard static site you will build a template page, generally your home page with all the navigation links to all the sub-page you have planned. Then add your content to the different sub-pages of your site.

Upload, test, and edit your site.
